About SilentMode

SilentMode is a Maker, Artist and LEGO Enthusiast, based in London, UK.

Since coming out of his "dark age" and rediscovering LEGO in 2010, he engages in what he calls LEGO-inspired design: creating models and artistic works inspired — but not limited — by the iconic toy brand.

Along with using LEGO elements, his skillset includes drawing, painting, resin casting, 3D printing and many other techniques to create his works.

His main interest in LEGO involves minifigures, with most of his work involving minifigure-scale vignettes and vehicles. He maintains a collection of official Collectible Minifigures (including the elusive Mr Gold) and many of the Friends minidolls.

Through LEGO-inspired design, his aim is to encourage and inspire others to explore those "crazy new ideas". His approach to the hobby is encapsulated by his Six Rules for Living.

Although distanced from mainstream circles, SilentMode has been influential within the LEGO space. He has previously contributed to fan sites, and was involved in two of DK Books' publications.
