SilentMode's Nintendo GameBoy (2025)

Sometime in 2024, in an attempt to rekindle my interest in the hobby, I challenged myself to design a Nintendo GameBoy in LEGO. While I had accomplished it, the design was left on the shelf after being posted to Instagram.

When I discovered that LEGO was releasing an official version (for some reason, ten months in advance), I further challenged myself to realise my design as an actual Creation.

My version was intended as an aesthetic model, so it was important to have the rounded edges and corners, as well as being as accurate as possible.

Although the resulting Creation was significantly larger than an actual GameBoy, the greatest feedback received was that it recreated the feel of an actual device when we first experienced it.

Did you know..?

Along with having used oversized reference photos, the size of my GameBoy design was dictated by the inclusion of four removable AA batteries.
